Nevada City, California , is a historic Gold Rush-era town located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, approximately 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. As the county seat of Nevada County, it is widely celebrated for its well-preserved Victorian architecture, narrow tree-lined streets, and vibrant arts scene. The entire downtown district is designated as a national historic landmark.
